Joomla Showroom's Curtain Call!

Dear Joomla enthusiasts, aficionados, and accidental visitors (we see you too).

It's with mixed emotions that we're hanging up our Joomla hats and turning the virtual lights off at Joomla Showroom. Our journey with all of you in the Joomla CMS community has been nothing short of spectacular.

But as they say, all good things must come to an end – even if that thing is a website that sometimes acts more like a rebellious teen than a digital platform.

From the bottom of our pixelated hearts, THANK YOU. Your support, feedback, and occasional 'lol's in the comments section have made this adventure truly memorable.

So, while we may be closing this browser tab in our journey, remember that every 404 page leads to a new possibility (hopefully one with fewer errors).

Now, we can't ignore the elephant in the room. That big question that all the nosey people want to know. WHY??

Well, the answer is very simple. The Joomla project has been a slowly dying project for the last 6-7 years. There's plenty of data to back that up. The Joomla community is simply not large enough anymore for extension developers like us to financially sustain staff and continue the development of our products. Especially when the Joomla project breaks all backward compatibility with EVERY major upgrade. It just became too much of a burden for both us and our clients.

And just like most of the old Joomla community, we moved on to building sites with WordPress many years ago, and honestly, we've not looked back. We do not have nearly the problems with WordPress that we have had with Joomla.

So if you need us, we're still around at our primary site at https://www.itdwebdesign.com

Warmly,
Mike Carson and The Joomla Showroom Team
